A Grounded Approach

Like every plant in a garden, each person has their own rhythm, needs, and way of growing. Some flourish in sunlight, others find strength in the shade. When care is attuned and conditions are supportive, growth can unfold in ways that feel more grounded and nourishing.

Who I Work With

I offer a nurturing, affirming space where adults (18+) and teens (ages 13–18) can explore who they are, tune into what supports them, and reconnect with where they find their ground, at their own pace and in their own way. My work is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming, disability-informed, mindfulness-based and trauma-informed perspective that honors the many ways brains and bodies move through the world.

Areas of Support

I support adults and teens navigating anxiety, chronic illness, neurodivergence, life transitions, and periods of feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Rather than focusing on fixing what feels uncomfortable, therapy centers on understanding what you need and supporting what is already trying to grow within you.

What Counseling Can Look Like

Counseling is collaborative and responsive to each person’s unique needs. Sessions may include conversation, creative or activity-based approaches, visual supports, and gentle structure when helpful. Accommodations are thoughtfully integrated to support a wide range of intellectual, developmental, sensory, and emotional experiences, with care taken to move at a pace that feels accessible and grounding.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, our work is guided by evidence-based practices tailored to the individual and incorporate mindfulness-based and trauma-informed approaches as appropriate. These may include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

  • Person-Centered Therapy

  • Internal Family Systems

  • Somatic Experiencing

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Exposure Therapy

  • Existential Therapy

Working with Teens and Families

When working with teens (13–18), counseling may include intentional parent or caregiver involvement when helpful. Collaboration is handled thoughtfully to support the teen while respecting developmental boundaries, autonomy, and confidentiality. The focus remains on creating a supportive environment that allows teens to feel safe, understood, and engaged in the process.

A Collaborative Process

Together, we tend to the parts of you that feel unsupported or overgrown, unlearn what no longer serves you, and create space for growth guided by your authentic self. I use evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration, always adapting our work to fit your unique experiences, strengths, and needs. If you are seeking a space where your whole self is welcome, mind, body, and spirit, I would be honored to walk with you as you find your ground in this season of renewal.

The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers

Everything can be taken from a man, but the last of the human freedoms: to choose one’s attitudes in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.
